Property List (UK)
London
The streets and train stations of the United Kingdom game are those of London, the capital city, though the publishers were from Leeds, a city in the County of Yorkshire.
The first red street's name on the boardis "Strand", but the matching property deeds showed "The Strand" until 1993.
On the early game boards the stations were of London North Eastern Railway (L.N.E.R.) origin. After the war, the United Kingdom railways were nationalised and became British Railways, so the Monopoly board followed suit.
