Rosenheim is the white-blue picture-book town between the Chiemsee and the Alps.

The mountain scenery in the background, the Bavarian Sea almost on the doorstep: the approximately 63,000 inhabitants of the city of Rosenheim appreciate "their" city. Life is where others go on vacation, but still at its most beautiful!

The heart of the city is the picturesque Max-Josefs-Platz with its colorful house facades. Italian flair not only emerges here on mild summer nights. The spire of the parish church of St. Nikolaus rises far into the sky from the city center, and its forecourt with its flowering cherry trees is a popular photo opportunity, especially in early summer. There are numerous sights in the center: the historic Mitter Tor, the town hall, the idyllic Mangfall Park, the city museum or the exhibition in the engine shed are just a few of them. If you want to drift through the city without a destination, stroll through the pedestrian zones, take a break in the blooming Riedergarten.

A special cultural spectacle is the Rosenheim Summer Festival, which every year in July attracts well-known artists and music bands to the open-air stage in Mangfallpark. A few weeks later, one of the largest Bavarian folk festivals, the Rosenheim Autumn Festival, is the next highlight.

But there are also numerous leisure opportunities right outside the gates of the lively city: Various hiking trails with picturesque viewpoints are only a stone's throw away. Mountain railways bring athletes and those seeking tranquility up to 1700 meters, the picturesque Simssee and numerous other lakes in the region invite you to swim, play sports or relax. And even fun in the snow is not far: in winter the next ski slope can be reached in less than an hour's drive.

A board game has now been created from the most popular places in and around Rosenheim. Have fun on the MONOPOLY trip through the picture-book city with alpine charm and a region that is worth discovering!
