On the Mechelen version of Monopoly you will find, among other things, the Sint-Romboutstoren, the Begijnhof and the Anker brewery. The districts were also not forgotten. For example, the church tower of Muizen or the new village house of Hombeek got their own proprty on the board.
The chance cards also got a Mechels touch. For example, you have to pay a fine because you have drunk too many Golden Caroluses. Or you get a Gas fine because you have not maintained your pavement.
In the Mechelen edition of the popular board game, there is no park road or castle avenue, but Ijzerenleen and Bruul, two of the city's most expensive streets. All other streets have names from Mechelen. Even the action cards have to do with businesses, customs or places in the city.
