TEXEL The Weverstraat in Den Burg, the Nikadel in De Koog, the airport and the lighthouse all play a major role in the Texel version of Monopoly. The idea for the Texel variant of Monopoly comes Rotaract members Roland-Jan Schippers and Martijn van der Linde and they want to raise money for charities on the island. The charities are a midwifery practice, it Bliedhuus (a complex for assisted living) and the Hospice.
Monopoly Texel begins at 't Horntje and ends in Den Burg with Weverstraat as Texel variant of Kalverstraat. Two thousand copies were printed.
There is also a German edition as well as the Dutch version.
