On the 27th January 2012, De Eindhovense School in Eindhoven made the largest Monopoly board in the world measuring 225 m2 (2421.87 ft2), recognised in The Guinness World Records.

In late 2011, on the initiative of AH Media, PSB ® MDS and Identity Games Monopoly Eindhoven was developed. It is an exclusive edition of the world famous board game. Through this special edition they promote Eindhoven "Lights", the fifth municipality of the Netherlands.

A large part of the proceeds of the game were donated to the foundation Maxima of the MMC. The money that wass donated wass to help Foundation Maxima in further cancer research.
