World of Monopoly.com

This one is very uniquely Canadian. In 2022, major Canadian "hardware and more" retailer Canadian Tire produced a fairly popular customized Monopoly set to celebrate their 100th anniversary.

Apparently not to be outdone, their major competitor in the Canadian hardware retail space, Home Hardware, produced this lesser-known set just 2 years later in 2024 for their 60th anniversary. But unlike the Canadian Tire set that had big displays for the game in all of their stores, Home Hardware didn't seem to display or promote this set much at all.

The properties in this set appear to be store locations, with the railroads replaced by 4 of the company's distribution centres and the utilities replaced by Innovation Centres.

The set is fully bilingual, with all board properties in English and French, two complete sets of cards and title deeds, and two rules booklets. The tokens represent a mix of Canadian icons and store symbols: An old pickup truck, a maple leaf, a beaver, a bow tie, Handy the Hound (the chain's mascot), and a hammer.

The house and hotels are called "Stores" and "Warehouses", but they are shaped and coloured like standard Monopoly houses/hotels. The currency uses a custom design, featuring what I assume to be an image of company co-founder Walter J. Hachborn. But what I'd say is the most interesting part of the set is that the Chance and Community Chest cards feature what appears to be completely unique artwork, not based on Mr. Monopoly or other standard Monopoly artwork.
