Jura is a forested canton of Switzerland in the Jura Mountains, bordering France. The Trans Swiss Trail is one of its many hiking and cross-country skiing routes. Delémont, the capital, retains its medieval gates and old town. The Château de Delémont, former residence of the Prince-Bishops of Basel, was completed in 1721. In the city of Porrentruy, the Château de Porrentruy is a castle with the 1200s Réfous Tower.
