The View from The Shard have created a unique edition of the Monopoly board game. The new twist on an old favourite will feature some of the Capitals icons that can be seen when visiting The View from The Shard – the only place where you can see all of London, all at once.

The Shard is the tallest skyscrapers in Europe and is located on the south bank of the River Thames in London, just opposite The City (The financial capital of London). It has offices and housing, as well as the only 5* hotel south of the River Thames. It has 87 stories and is 309 metres (1,014 ft) at its highest point, and 284.7 metres (934 ft) at the highest point of its steelwork. On the 72nd floor, at a height of 244.3 metres (802 ft), is The View From The Shard where tourists admire the only view of the whole of London.

Embracing the old, new and ever changing skyline of London, this version game will give people of all ages the chance to engage with the impressive heritage and architecture of the Capital. Ideal for playing any day, you will be able to put your knowledge of London to the test as you try and buy up a wide variety of updated additions to the game, ranging from Wembley Stadium, Canary Wharf, The London Eye and St Paul’s Cathedral. Chance card rewards and penalties are themed around modern London living, from congestion charges to Oyster card refunds.

In this version of "The View of the Shard", the pieces are classic (dog, shoe, cat, wheelbarrow, hat and thimble). The quick dice are in this set and the stations are replaced by bridges.

Throughout December 2014, visitors to the 69th floor (London's highest viewing gallery) of Europe’s tallest building was transformed into a giant Monopoly board to celebrate the launch of the unique Monopoly Board with life-size game pieces and chance cards to celebrate the festive season! Photographs of what it was like are shown on the right.

Note: There was a reprint in the same year so there are two versions with different codes.
