The ultimate game of strategy and chance is back with a limited edition board as voted by the public. Monopoly Australia gives Australia’s best-loved board game a fresh twist with the nation’s favourite destinations up for grabs.

The Community Chest and Chance Cards have been customised, offering players the chance to sell their State-of-Origin tickets or sell their lamingtons at the school fete. There is an Australian flavour to the player tokens, which include a meat pie, a barbecue, a cricket bat, a kookaburra and a kangaroo.

The train stations featured on the original board game have been replaced by the airports of Sydney, Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne.

This special edition was to honour Australian towns hit hard by bushfires, floods, or COVID-19 with $5 of every sale donated to the Australian Red Cross.

A new edition of Monopoly sees 22 Australian locations replace the traditional English suburbs. The Australian locations were chosen for having weathered impacts of extreme events.
