19th July, 1545, the Mary Rose, pride of Henry VIII’s fleet, was lost during an engagement with a French invasion fleet. 437 years later on 11th October, 1982, she was returned to the surface, and after 31 years of conservation work the Mary Rose now takes pride of place in her own Museum.

The Mary Rose Museum opened in May 2013, reuniting the ship with her contents for the first time since her raising, and introducing visitors to hundreds of artefacts never before seen. With context galleries built to mirror the interior of the ship, you get a real feeling of what life was like for the 500 men who lived, worked and died aboard the Mary Rose.

Wander through the Museum Galleries, taking in the sights of objects belonging to people from all levels of society, visiting areas normally away from public view, and experience life on board a Tudor warship.
