Map of Indonesia.

Until today there are no Monopoly games issued in Indonesia authorized by Parker Brothers. However it was and is frequently copied and the greater the outward likeness the more careless the imitation is!
The various manufacturers handle different designs for their games.
Many versions say to be "Kreasi Baru" or "Gaya Baru" (= new design) but it is not clear what design they are compared to.

                                                                 SELF-MADE game from a Japanese P.O.W.-camp

Although this concerns a P.O.W.-camp for (mainly) Dutch women and children in former Batavia - Dutch East Indies (now Jakarta - Indonesia), it has to be mentioned with the Indonesian games.
The Japanese occupation of the Dutch East Indies in W.W. II lasted of March 9, 1942 up to Augustus 15, 1945.

Kamp Tjideng game.Version: Kamp Tjideng
Artist: Mrs. E.Muller-Nieuwenhuysen - 1945
Currently owned by the Museon in The Hague, donated by the maker's daughter: Marjan Mundt
Dimensions of the game board: 48.5 x 48.5 cm
This POW Monopoly game mentioned in Dutch radio broadcast.

Mrs. Muller lived together with her little son Huib and daughter Marjan in the Tjideng Japanese camp, being a district of Batavia fenced by gedek. In the last war months there finally lived more than 10,000 women and children under piteous circumstances in circa 220 houses and other buildings.
Initially the children were too young to play Monopoly, but near the end of the war it became interesting to make a game, based on daily live in the camp.

Bowing for the Japanese. The residents had to frequently line up for the Japanese (kumpul) on a large square, often standing there in the sun for hours, doing nothing. Mrs. Muller in those moments was scratching with a knife houses and hotels of small pieces of wood. She later colored them with colored pencils. The same way she made the property deeds, the red Kans and blue Wijkkantoor (districts office) cards as well as the little white Banknotes with colored edges.
(Adjacent "Bowing for the Japanese"-picture has been copied from an article in www.wereldkids.nl). She swapped the plywood sheet on which the game board originally was drawn with colored pencils, for a pair of her shoes. (Soon after the war all colors were improved with painting.)

Texts on the board's midfield:

From the loudspeaker next calls sounds:

Tempè halen! Alle nummers ! (Come and get tempè! All numbers!)

Brood halen! Te beginnen by 50 ! (Come and get bread! To start with 50!)

 Runder ingewanden! (Cattle entrails!)

The illustration under that shows running childeren for the (cattle) intestines and the tapioca rolls, delicacies one wouldn't even touch under normal circumstanses.
Under that: goldfish Dikkie that didn't has a long life, because it was soon fried.
Left on top the Kans-space: one of Huib's activities was: to sweep, with a sapu-lidi of course.
Right on top the Kans-space: another job he did was sharpening knifes.

Map of Tjideng Camp. From Begin onwards all spaces are:

Oganweg - Wijkkantoor - Kommeringweg - Verplicht geld inleveren (Obligatory hand in money)/Betaal (Pay) f 200 - Dysenterie Ziekenhuis (nr.20 on the map) - Serajoeweg - Kans - Koeantang - Toelangbawangweg - Jongenshuis (Boyshouse)/Op visite - Tjipoenegaraweg - Passar (nr.16 on the map) - Beroemoengweg - Ampasiet E - Tropisch Ziekenhuis - Ampasiet D - Wijkkantoor - Ampasiet C - Kamparweg - Vrij Koempoelen - Ampasiet B - Distributie halen o.a. Rijst (Collect rationing a.o. rice) 100 cl / Zout 15 gr / Suiker 10 g / Beurt overslaan (Omit one turn) - Ampasiet A  - Brantasweg - Kinder Ziekenhuis - Tjioedjoeng - Tjilamajaweg - Wijktoko (nr.18 on the map) - Tjideng West - Naar Jongenshuis (To Boyshouse, nr.9 on the map) - Kapoeasstraat - Batanghari - Wijkkantoor - Tjitaroemweg - Chirurgisch Ziekenhuis - Kans - Moesiweg - Alle electrische voorwerpen inleveren (Hand in all electric objects)/ Betaal (Pay) f 200  and Laan Trivelli
(A larger picture of the map can be obtained by clicking on the small picture.)

The 2 "most expensive streets" of this game board, Laan Trivelli (with its 2 impressive mansions at the entrance of the camp) and Moesiweg were 2 of the most important streets of the camp.
Mrs. Muller lived with her children a.o. in a mansion in Laan Trivelli and Moesiweg, but also in a smaller house on the Ampasietweg E.
The Jail is here the Jongenshuis (boyshouse) because that really was the camps' jail. The guard consisted of  Heiho's, called "katjang idjoes" by the residents.
The Toko was a kind of little shop, where so every now and than simple things were for sale, for example, when people had well "paculed" or when you had knitted an extra pair of socks for the Japanese. What was sold mainly exsisted of gula-jawa or a pisang, or things like that.

Some typical instructions of the Kans- and Wijkkantoor-cards are:

U hebt suiker en ryst over het gedek gesmokkeld. Regelrecht naar het "Jongenshuis". U mag niet voorby "BEGIN" en U ontvangt geen f 200.=. (You have smuggled sugar and rice over the gedek. Straight to the "Boyshouse". You may not pass "Begin" and you do not receive f 200.=.)

U hebt uw Passar- en vleesnummer verloren. Boete f 10.-, of neem een "Kans"-kaart. (You've lost your Market and meat number. Fine f 10.- or take a "Kans"-card.)

Voor het breien van een heleboel "Nippon-kousen" mag U voor f 20.= in de toko besteden. (For knitting many "Nippon socks" you may spend for f 20.- in the toko.)

Opgebracht wegens het niet groeten van een "Hay Ho". Boete f 20.= (Taken in because of not greating a "Hay Ho". Fine f 20.=)

U hebt met "Ke-Kai-Ke-Ho" (air danger presence) uw wasch buiten laten hangen. Boete f 25.- (You've left your laundry outside while "Ke-Kai-Ke-Ho". Fine f 25.-)

U moet de straat beter vegen. Boete per huis f 40.=.  Boete per hotel f 115.= (You must better sweep the street. Fine per house f 40.=.)

The 7 banknotes are simple white papers with a large figure in the centre; the denominations resp. being 1 - 5 - 10 - 20 - 50 - 100 and 500 guilders.
The 5 tokens present with the gameare: 3 small beads - a little wheel of tin and a black chess castle.
Both black dice seems to be not self-made.

Th handwritten Rules apparently are, somewhat shortened, copied from the first Dutch rules, appearing f.e. from the classification in exactly the same chapters, the mention "Three to seven players" (later rules say "for 2 to 6 players") as well as the mention with the Bank: "The Banker better put the money and property deeds on a little table next to him" (This comic mention does not occur later). Possibly more components of this only in about 1940 published Dutch game were present in the camp, but should the board have been available the color bars would have been applied more accurate!

Explanation of some Indonesian words:

Gedek = sheets/mats of braided bamboo
Kumpul = originally: comming together sociably with friends and acquaintances; here: falling in for the Japanese
Tèmpé = soya cake
Sapu lidi = broom made of ribs of palm leaves
Passar = market
Heiho= Indonesian slave-soldier for the Japanese = in the camp called "katjang idjoes" (= small green pea), after their green uniforms.
Pacul = cultivate land with a square spade
Gula jawa = (brown) palm sugar
Pisang = banana

This set was shown on the exhibition "War and Occupation in the Dutch East Indies" in the Waag in Leiden - NL, May 1980.
It was discussed in the Dutch collectors magazine "Spel!", Vol.13, nr.2, Dec.2009, page 5.

Since 2008 this game is property of the Museon in The Hague - NL, where it somethimes is showed in temporary expositions. However, it is also possible to view it any other moment after tetephone appointment.

Monopoli in red box with turnover lid.Edition: Monopoli Kreasi Baru - red box, ref. K. 072
Publisher: Kurnia Toys and Games - ± 1990
Dimensions of the box: 18.5 x 33.5 cm
The game:
The first thing that attract attention is the turnover lid that fits inside the bottom section of the box.
Inside this soft cardboard box is a soft cardboard one-piece game board without prepared fold. The board's back is white and does not show any other game.

The design of the game board is like the well-known "big brother", i.e. with 9 spaces between the corners, all property groups have the same colors, in the middle of each side is a kind of station, the second corner is a Jail (with a long haired person behind 3 bars), the 3rd corner shows a kind of Policeman-with-whistle and the Chance- and Community Chest-like spaces spread over the 4 sides. Instead of Electric Company and Water Works these spaces have been added as a fourth property to the adjacent color group. Receive 400 over Start.
All properties are factories and bank facilities. From Start onwards the fields are:

Asuransi - Undian (= Raffle) - Pabrik Makanan Minuman (= Food and Drinks Factory) - Pajak Penghasilan (= Income Tax) - Angkutan Darat (= Road Transport) - Percetakan Penerbitan (= Printer/Publisher) - Pariwisata (= Tourism) - Real Estate - Penjara - Konstruksi - Peternakan (= Cattle-breeding) - Perikanan (= Fishery) - Pertanian (= Agriculture) - Angkutan Laut (= Shipping) - Perkebunan (= Cultures) - Undian - Kehutanan (= Forestry) - Bank - Peristirahatan (= Halting Place) - Pabrik Gelas (= Glas Works) - Kesempatan (= Opportunity = Chance) - Leasing - Pabrik Rotan - Angkutan Udara (= Aviation) - Pabrik Obat-Obatan (= Pharmaceutical Works) - Pabrik Elektronika - Pabrik Plastik - Pabrik Kertas (= Paper Works) - Masuk Penjara - Pabrik Semen (= Cement Works) - Pabrik Kimia - Undian - Pabrik Tekstil - Satelit - Kesempatan - Pertambangan (= Mining) - PPN - Pabrik Metal.

Of course the factories are not build with houses and hotels but with gedung (= Building, 30 small green hollow plastic caps), peralatan (= Tools, 14 small red hollow plastic caps) and pemasaran (= Marketing of the products, 11 blue hollow plastic caps). The mortgage values of the properties in this edition are variable and are given as last line of the card. The cards' back is white and unprinted.
All cards are very small: the property deeds are 42 x 50 mm, the purple Kesempatan and blue green Undian cards are only 35 x 45 mm. The small banknotes (30 x 58 mm) show a simple sketch of a factory and the name of the not exsisting NHK Bank as well as the name of the game. The Rules name the currancy Rp = Rupiah, however the property deeds use the $-symbol while the notes have the sign §. The 7 denominations are: § 1 (white) - § 5 - § 10 - § 20 - § 50 - § 100 (white) and § 500. The tokens are 4 plastic pawns so this edition is destined to be played by 4 players only.
The dice are light brown with white pips.

The price of this set amounted to Rp 7600 (= € 1,42) in September 1998.

Monopoli in blue box with turnover lid.Edition: Monopoli Kreasi Baru - ular dan tangga
Publisher: Interco - ± 1990
Dimensions of the box: 18.5 x 33.5 cm
The game:
It is self-evident that this edition will be compared with the one in the earlier mentioned red box with turnover lid of same dimensions, because its properties also exsist of (other types of) factories.  However the game board of this manufacturer is solid and will doubdless last much longer. As the lid shows already, the board's back is used for the Snakes & Ladders game.
All properties are factories except for the 4 mid spaces A - B - C and D of the sides, being malls. From Berangkat onwards they are:

Pabrik Kayu (= Timber Works) - Undian (= Raffle) - Pabrik Lem (= Glue Works) - Restribusi 300 bayar (= Pay 300) - Pusat Pertokoan A (= Mall A) - Pabrik Seng (= Zink Works) - Kesempatan (= Opportunity = Chance) - Pabrik Kapal (= Shipyard) - Pabrik Lampu - Penjara - Pabrik Gelas (= Glas Works) - Angkutan Barang (= Goods Transport) - Pabrik Tenun (= Textile Works) - Pabrik Moor (= Bolts & Nuts Works) - Pusat Pertokoan B - Pabrik Doos (= Box Factory) - Undian - Pabrik Karet (= Rubber Works) - Pabrik Plastik - Tempat Wisata (= Picnic Place) - Pabrik Tepung (= Flour Mill) - Kesempatan - Pabrik Kertas (Paper Works) - Pabrik Ubin (= Tile Works) - Pusat Pertokoan C - Pabrik Paku (= Nails Works) - Pabrik Susu (= Milk Factory) - Angkutan Orang (= Peoples Transport) - Pabrik Rokok (= Cigarette Works) - Masuk Penjara - Pabrik Kulit (= Leather Works) - Pabrik Sepatu (= Shoe Works) - Undian - Pabrik Baja (= Steel Works) - Pusat Pertokoan D - Kesempatan - Pabrik Sepeda (= Bicycle Works) - Restribusi 200 bayar (= Pay 200) - Pabrik Accu.

The Jail corner shows a window with 7 bars but no prisoner. The 3rd corner is a  halting place instead of a Free Parking. The 4th corner shows the way to prison by a simple red arrow instead of a grave policeman.
The properties are built with a gedung (= Building, 22 small green hollow plastic caps), mesin (= Machines, 14 small blue hollow plastic caps) and bahan (= Material, 11 red hollow plastic caps). Although the colors of properties are spread all over the game board they do build groups and in case a player is owner of all properties of a group he may triple the rent. Mortgage values of the properties depends on the site and varies between 50 and 90%. The back side of these cards are white and unprinted.
The dimensions of the cards are of:

the property deeds 45 x 58 mm

the blue green Kesempatan and likewise blue green Undian cards 38 x 70 mm.

The white banknotes (50 x 83 mm) are somewhat strange.  Besides the 6 pointed Intergo-star in the centre and the value of the note in a small rectangular in each corner it also says The united states of Galaxy and Produced by the N.H.K. bank. It is not clear what the name Yomayosa on the notes mean. The only 6 denominations without currency are:  5 - 25 - 50 - 100 - 500 and 1000. The tokens are 4 plastic pawns.
The dice are  dark blue with white pips.

The price of this set amounted to Rp 4400 (= € 2,-) in August 1995.

Monopoli Eksklusif, large box, ref. GT.No. 231411.Edition: Monopoli Eksklusif, ref. GT. No.  231411
Publisher: Interco - ± 1990
Dimensions of the box: 24.5 x 48 cm
The game:
This edition could have been the more luxurous version of the one of Kurnia Toys and Games with ref. K. 072 described above, however it isn't. Although all properties are exactly the same factories and bank facilities they are grouped in only 7 groups of 4 properties. Besides all prices are exactly twice as high (Receive 400 over Start).

However, the large box consists as usual of a separate lid and bottom part and the game board is of solid cardboard with red back. Also different is the way of building on the properties: the start is again with a gedung (= Building, 24 blue houses with chimney), followed by mesin & peralatan (= Machines & Tools, 24 green blocks) and bahan (= Material, 12 red blocks) and finally pemasaran (= Marketing of the products, 12 blue blocks).
The cards have manageable dimensions: the property deeds (with red backs) are 63 x 94 mm, the blue backed Kesempatan and red backed Undian cards are 61 x 90 mm.
Mortgage values
of the properties are in all cases 75% of the purchase price. This is not only written on the front side of the card but also on the red back.
The yellow banknotes (50 x 100 mm) have a carefully edited design showing the bank's name NHK in a rosette,  the manufacturer's logo in a six pointed star and its value in between. The 6 denominations without currency are: 5 - 25 - 50 - 100 - 500 and  1000. Again the name Yomayosa appears on the banknotes but this time at the end of the rules as well. The tokens are 4 plastic pawns.
The dice are yellow with red pips.

The price of this set amounted to Rp 40,000 (= € 4.55) in February 2001.

International Monopoli of Bakar Product.Edition: Monopoli Dunia (= world) International
Publisher: Bakar Product - ± 1995
Dimensions of the small box:15 x 19 cm
of the game board: 36 x 36 cm
The game:
This is one of the editions having a small box for all accessoiries and a larger separate game board. In this case the rather solid board is folded twice such that it fits well under the box.

Although this version matches the "authorized versions" a lot (having a Jail, Free Parking, Electric Company, Water Works, 32 green houses and 12 red hotels) there are also many differences. The main feature is the division of the game board into Komplek groups from A to H, being 22 different countries and 4 transport means of cities for the "station-spaces".
Note that this issue has no copyright.

From Start onwards the properties, illustrated with pictures of landmarks are:
Komplek A: Indonesia - Singapore
Komplek B: Malaysia - Philipina - Thailand
Komplek C: Amerika Serikat (= USA) - Hawai - Jepang (= Japan)
Komplek D: Belanda (=NL) - India - Uni Soviet
Komplek E: RRC (CINA) - HongKong - Taiwan
Komplek F: Inggris (= UK) - Jerman (= D) - Perancis (= F)
Komplek G: Swiss - Canada - Italia
Komplek H: Australia - Afrika

The midfields of the sides are resp.: Changi Airport - Terminal Bis Tokyo (= Tokyo Bus Terminal) - Stasiun London and Pelabuhan Sydney (= Sydney Harbour). Instead of paying Income Tax and Luxury Tax you must pay a toll (= Pajak jalan tol) and Special Tax (= Pajak istimewa).
The dimensions of the professionally printed property deeds (with white backs) are 56 x 86 mm. The funny sketches illustrated blue green Kesempatan (= Opportunity = Chance) and pink Dana Umum (= Community Chest) cards are 61 x 85 mm.
The rents at a property are doubled in case a player owns all sites of a color group. Mortgage values of the properties are given on the property cards. They vary from almost 19% to 75%. The back of these cards is white and unprinted.
The white banknotes (60 x 105 mm) have two different illustrations in their centres, one being a castle the other an old telegraph office with a key! Besides "Bank Monopoly Internasional" it also mention the value of the note in written text. The 8 denominations in dollars are: $ 10 - $ 20 - $ 50 - $ 100 - $ 200 - $ 500 - $ 1000 and $ 5000. The plastic houses are larger than usual and have the same sizes as the hotels. They have no tiles, nor a chimney. The tokens are 6 small plastic pawns.
The small dice are white with red pips. Special is the green plastic cup to throw the dice with.

Magnit edition ref. GT 231921.Edition: Monopoli kreasi Baru Maknit, ref. GT. No. 231921
Publisher: Interco - ± 1995
Dimensions of the box: 26.5 x 13.3 x 4.4 cm
The game:
This issue of Interco is exactly the same (Receive 400 over Start) as the one in the small red box of Kurnia Toys and Games with ref. nr. K. 072, earlier mentioned, except for the fact of course that this is a magnetic version. That is why the hollow plastic "structures" are now filled with a magnet
The small cards, property deeds, the banknotes as well as the rules have such an exact same design that it is more than likely that we have to do with one and the same company.

The game board (see for the properties the above mentioned edition with ref.nr. K.072) is a kind of video tape box having the playing side on the outside. This box is also the container of all accessories.

The price of this set amounted to Rp 33.900 (= € 6,36) in October 1998.

Monopoli Indonesia, small box (1).Edition: Monopoli Indonesia Gaya Baru - small box (1)
Publisher: Inland manufacturer - ± 1996
Dimensions of the little box: 14.3 x 18.3 cm
of the game board: 46.8 x 46.8 cm
The game:
Striking and interesting is the game board's midfield showing the
whole Indonesian archipelago
. On the space where normally the Chance cards are is now an illustration of a train leaving the station of Surabaya - Kota (= City), an important town on East Java. Perhaps this town is the seat of the manufacturer, because the country's capital is Djakarta situated on West Java? On the game board's back the name of the game is infinitely repeated.

It is more than obvious that the manufacturer has looked at the Waddington (= UK) issues because the header of its rules show the word Monopoly (with Y) with under it the typical "engines illustration" with 2 lokomotives, 2 houses and the £-symbol in the middle. Besides small details like the little square in the Pajak Pemasukan (= Import tax) and Pajak Tertinggi (=Tax rise) fields as well as the little "< in a black circle" on the Dana Umum (= Community Chest) fields come undisputedly from the English game board. However, the rascal behind the 3 bars of the Jail is much younger, the car on the Free Parking space is more modern and the policeman of the 3rd corner not only point into the direction of the Jail but brings the rascal himself.

From Start (Receive Rp. 200) onwards the spaces are 22 cities and 4 stations from all isles of the archipelago:
Kebayoran - Dana Umum - Jakarta - Pajak Pemasukan - Setasiun Gambir - Garut - Kesempatan - Bogor - Bandung - Di Penjara/ Harus Tinggal - Sampit - Perusahaan Listrik -Balikpapan - Banjarmasin - Setasiun Baturaja - Lampung - Dana Umum - Palembang - Medan - Parkir bebas - Donggala - Kesempatan - Menado - Makasar - Setasiun Surabaya - Madura - Malang - Perusahaan Air (= water!) - Surabaya - Masuk Penjara - Jogja - Solo - Dana Umum - Semarang - Setasiun Tawang - Kesempatan - Singaraja - Pajak Teringgi - Denpasar.

The spaces show a landmark of the concerning city, like the famous dancer of Bali (at Denpasar). It is not clear why the last red property is called Makasar, after the old name from the Dutch colonial era, rather than Ujung Pandang, the current Indonesian name.

The solid property deeds (with neutral backs) are 55 x 85 mm, however they stick together and have to be torn loose. Same for the blue green Kesempatan and purple Dana Umum cards (47 x 73 mm).
The mortgage value of the properties is in all cases 50%.
The small banknotes (38 x 95 mm) do not have a year mentioned as in version (2).  The 7 denominations without currency shown on the notes are: Rp.1 - Rp.5 - Rp.10 - Rp.20 - Rp.50 - Rp.100 and  Rp.500. Each note show a picture of an animal and a proverb. Because of the fact that this is very special I'll mention the translations of most proverbs:

The Rp.1 shows a lion and the proverb Rajin pangkal pandai, which corresponds with the English proverb As you sow, so you will reap.

The Rp.5 shows a rhinoceros and the proverb Hemat pangkai kaya, which corresponds with the English proverb Frugality and good husbandry makes things go far.

The Rp.20 shows a zebra and the proverb Bermain air basah bermain api hangus, which corresponds with the English proverb He that touches pitch shall be defiled.

The Rp.50 shows a hippopotamus and the proverb Tong kosong nyaring bu-nyinya, which corresponds with the English proverb Empty vessels make the most noice.

The Rp.100 shows a dear and the proverb Dalam laut dapat diduga, dalam hati siapa tahu, which corresponds with the English proverb Still waters  run deep.

The Rp.500 shows a tiger and the proverb Kalah jadi abu;  menang ja di arang, which corresponds with the English proverb It is six of one and half a dozen of the other.

The green plastic tiled houses with chimney have the same sizes as the red hotels.
The 6 tokens are white plastic copies of the well-known Monopoly tokens iron - boat - canon - rider-on-horse - car and wheelbarrow.
The dice are of white plastic with red and black pips.

The price of this set amounted to Rp 2500 (= € 1,15) in August 1996.

Presumably around mid nineties of last century Registration Numbers for manufacturers (?) as well as copyright numbers (=Hak Cipta) for the various designs came into use. I wonder if this Hak Cipta can be considered as a reference number for the related edition.

The Monopoli interpretation by DM Sport. Edition: Monopoli Intercontinental
Publisher: DM Sport (Reg.No. 257340) - ± 1996
Dimensions of the small box: 14.7 x 18.0 cm
of the game board: 35.5 x 35.5 cm
The game:
This edition immediately reminds of the small box with separate game board "Monopoli Dunia International" of Bakar Product, not only because of almost exactly same sizes of the small boxes and game boards, but in particular because of the fact that this set contains a rules of "Monopoli New Internasional".
Another special item is the green plastic dice cup in both editions.
Note that this issue has no copyright.
However the greatest resemblance is the division of the game board into Komplek groups from A to H, being 22 different countries and 4 transport means of cities for the "station-spaces".

From Start (Receive $ 2000) onwards the properties, illustrated with pictures of landmarks are:
Komplek A: Indonesia - Malaysia
Komplek B: Singapore - HongKong - Taiwan
Komplek C: Philipina - Thailand - Vietnam
Komplek D: Jepang (= Japan) - Korea - India
Komplek E: RRC (CINA) - Uni Soviet - Italia
Komplek F: Inggris (= UK) - Perancis (= F) - Belanda (= NL)
Komplek G: Kanada - Amerika Serikat (= USA) - Brazilia
Komplek H: Australia - Afrika

Compared with the other edition most countries are the same, except for Hawai - Jerman (= D) and Swiss. These countries have been replaced by Vietnam - Brazilia and Korea.
The midfields of the sides are resp.: Changi Airport - Terminal Bis Tokyo (= Tokyo Bus Terminal) - Stasiun London and Pelabuhan Sydney (= Sydney Harbour). Instead of paying Income Tax and Luxury Tax you must pay a toll (= Pajak jalan) and Special Tax (= Pajak istimewa).
The dimensions of the good looking property deeds (with unprinted backs) are 60 x 90 mm. The illustrated pink Kesempatan (Opportunity = Chance) and green Dana Umum (= Community Chest) cards are 50 x 76 mm.
The rents at a property are doubled in case a player owns all sites of a color group. Mortgage values of the properties are given on the property cards. They vary from almost 41% to 57.1%.
The banknotes (54 x 100 mm) of this edition are interesting. Besides the name "Bank Monopoli New Internasional" (note the use of 2 languages) all notes show a large $-sign and a drawing of a lokomotive of the 18th century. The 8 denominations in dollars are: $ 10 - $ 20 - $ 50 - $ 100 - $ 200 - $ 500 - $ 1000 and $ 5000. The green plastic tiled houses with chimney have the same sizes as the red hotels
The tokens are 6 plastic pawns like clowns caps.
The little dice are white with red pips.

The price of this set amounted to Rp 2500 (= € 1,15) in August 1996.

A copyrighted International edition.Edition: MONOPOLI  Laga Internasional, Hak Cipta No. 012631
Publisher: LAGA (Reg.No. 009734) - ±1997
Dimensions of the small box: 14.7 x 18.3 cm
of the game board: 35.3 x 35.3 cm
The game:
This edition of a game with 8 groups of Komplekses is the first one that plays anticlockwise. This may be done to be different from the DM Sport issue, because all properties of both editions are exactly the same. And so Laga could get a copyright on this version?

From Start (Receive $ 2.000) onwards, but anticlockwise, the properties, illustrated with drawings of landmarks are:
Komplek A: Indonesia - Malaysia
Komplek B: Singapore - HongKong - Taiwan
Komplek C: Philipina - Thailand - Vietnam
Komplek D: Jepang (= Japan) - Korea - India
Komplek E: RRC (CINA) - Uni Soviet - Italia
Komplek F: Inggris (= UK) - Perancis (= F) - Belanda (= NL)
Komplek G: Kanada - Amerika (without Serikat = united) - Brazilia
Komplek H: Australia - Afrika

The midfields of the sides are as in the other versions: Changi Airport - Terminal Bis Tokyo (= Tokyo Bus Terminal) - Stasiun London and Pelabuhan Sydney (= Sydney Harbour). Instead of paying Income Tax and Luxury Tax you pay a toll (= Pajak jalan) and Special Tax (= Pajak istimewa).
The backside of the game board is used for the Bonus game: Snakes and Ladders.
The dimensions of the property deeds (with unprinted backs) are 60 x 90 mm. The illustrated pink Kesempatan (Opportunity = Chance) and green Dana Umum (= Community Chest) cards are 59 x 87 mm.
All prices of all properties, the mortgage values included, are exactly the same as of the DM Sport version.
The design of the banknotes (53 x 97 mm) is poor. They are issued by the "Bank Monopoli Medan", that is because the city of Medan on the isle of Sumatra is the manufacturer's residence. The caption reads "New International" (only in English). There are 2 designs used to illustrate the one-sided printed notes: the lower denominations show a womans portrait in the centre and under that Dolar, whereas on the higher values the lady looks the other way and Dolar is on her eyes' level. The 8 denominations are: $ 10 - $ 20 - $ 50 - $ 100 - $ 200 - $ 500 - $ 1000 and $ 5000. The large dark green plastic houses have the same sizes as the mahogany hotels. There are only 4 plastic pawns (of which 2 green ones) as tokens, although another set contained 4 plastic figures(see the picture).
The little dice are white with red pips.

The price of this set amounted to € 1,80 in August 1999.

Indonesian edition of ±1997, suggesting to be "authorized".Edition: Monopoli Indonesia Gaya Baru - BONUS Ular Tangga  Halma
Publisher: Inland manufacturer - 1997
Dimensions of the box: 26.0 x 50.8 cm
The game:
This bold imitation and mixture of the Parker Brothers (USA) and Waddington (UK) designs promisses more than it really gives. European editions of 1985.

With the imitation of the Parker Brother presentation of the lid of the European editions, i.e. the red Monopoly bar on top of the second part of the 4th side (including 2 dice showing the 3 and 5), it suggest an "authorized" issue. However, the quality of the box is visibly bad and after opening the set the disappointment is complete! First of all the inner box contains 8 very simple carboard trays for the accessories, whereas the other half of the space is filled up with yellow cardboard insert with the rules. These rules again  show the word Monopoly (with Y) with under it the typical "engines illustration" with 2 locomotives, 2 houses and the £-symbol in the middle (= Waddington design).
Next the game board appears to be the same as the separate board to the small boxes (1) and (2) with the name Monopoli Gaya Baru. However, the presentation of all islands of the Indonesian archipelago is a good way to show the magnitude of this country.

For the enumeration of the properties on the game board, the cards, green houses and red hotels, see above.
On the other hand the design of the banknotes ask for special attention. Although the rules mention the money as Rp (= Rupiah) the small Monopoly Gaya Baru banknotes (38 x 95 mm) clearly mention dollar and show 2 long numbers, 2 signatures and the year 1997 in one copy (and 1998 in another). The 7 denominations are: $ 1 - $ 5 - $ 10 - $ 20 - $ 50 - $ 100 and $ 500.
As is said on the lid the set contains 2 other games besides Monopoly: Snakes and Ladders and Halma. In some sets these 2 games are on one additional game board, on others they are printed on the back of the Monopoly game board. The pawns for these games also vary in dimension in the various issues.
The 8 tokens are plastic copies of the Parker Brother's car - hat - thimble - canon - iron - wheel barrow - boat and rider-on-horse. However the manufacturer uses different qualities of plastic so it may happen you find black tokens or gold colored ones.
The very small dice (10x10x10 mm) can be white with black pips or red with white pips.

The price of this set amounted to Rp 19.900 (= € 2,25) in February 2001.

Small box version (2) of the Indonesian archipelago.Edition: Monopoli Indonesia Gaya Baru - small box (2)
Publisher: Inland manufacturer - 1998
Dimensions of the small box: 14.3 x 18.3 cm
of the game board: 36 x 36 cm
The game:
This edition is just another issue of the earlier described version (1). There are great similarities as well as differences.

The similarities are:

The dimensions of the small box as well as the illustration on the lid are
the same.

The header of the rules show the word Monopoly (with Y) with under it the
typical "engines illustration"
with 2 lokomotives, 2 houses and the
£
-symbol in the middle.

Receive at Start 200,-.

All spaces of the board are identical except for some minor differences
of drawings, like the car on Free Parking and different policeman and rascal on the 3rd corner.

All cards are the same except for a little poorer paper quality.

The plastic houses and hotels come from the same machine, so they are equal in size and have tiled roofs with a chimney.

Although this set has 8 tokens (canon - rider-on-horse - car - hat - wheelbarrow - shoe - boat and thimble) of black plastic they are made the same way, because they are still on the tree of the moulding machine.

The differences are:

The game board's midfield does not show the Indonesian archipelago but only the station of Surabaya.

The separate board is slightly smaller, whereas it's back is used for two other games.

The small banknotes, suggesting to be American dollars, are the same from the large box described here above. They show the year 1998 on all notes.

The dice are small and transparent with black pips.

The price of this set amounted to Rp 7940 (= € 0,90) in February 2001.

Magnet edtion of 1998, ref. AL008.Edition: Magnit MONOPOLI   Laga Nasional
ref. AL- 008, Hak Cipta No. 012846

Publisher: LAGA (Reg.No. 009734) - ± 1998
Dimensions of the small box: 24.0 x 12.7 x 4.7 cm
The game:
It is interesting to compare this "national" copyrighted magnetic edition with the "international" copyrighted version of the same manufacturer: Both games go anticlockwise. And there are more similarities as well as differences.

Similarities compared to Hak Cipta No. 012631:

The design of the board's centre field is the same.

Manufacturer's name and Reg.No. with its logo M (from Medan) are shown
underneath both cards spaces.

The Start space show the same person in green trousers looking at a
motorcyclist .

The same rascal is in Jail, holding the 2 bars with both hands.

Both the policeman and the rascal on the last corner are the same.

The 4 tokens are the same, although they are provided with magnetes in this version.

The white dice with red pips are the same.

Differences

The 3 cars on the Free Parking corner are of different models.

The green houses and red hotels are plastic cylinders in this version.

Except for the size of the smaller Kesempatan and Dana Umum cards (36 x 69 mm) the illustrations are more carefully edited.

The Kartu hak milik (= property deeds) of this edition are much smaller (36 x 70 mm).

Except for the size of the smaller banknotes (35 x 68 mm) also the currency is changed from Dolar (!) into Rupiah.  Only one illustration of the lady's portait is used for all denominations.
The only 7 denominations are: Rp.100 - Rp.500 - Rp.1.000 - Rp.2.000 - Rp. 5.000 - Rp.10.000 and Rp.50.000.

From Start (Receive Rp.20000.-) onwards, but anticlockwise, the properties, illustrated with pictures of landmarks from all over Indonesia are:
Komplek A: Monas - Taman Mini
Komplek B: Ragunan Pasar Minggu - Binaria - Taman Pluit
Komplek C: Kebun Raya Bogor - Pelabuhan Ratu - Tangkuban Perahu
Komplek D: Gedung Batu - Kopeng - Borobudur
Komplek E: Prambanan - Kraton Jogya - Bengawan  Solo
Komplek F: Sarangan - Selecta - Gunung Kawi
Komplek G: Pantai Sanu - Tampak Siring - Taman Laut Banda
Komplek H: Danau Toba - Brastagi

The midfields of the sides are: Kemayoran Airport - Terminal Bis Semarang - Stasiun Pasar Turi - Pelabuhan Belawan (= Belawan Harbour). Instead of paying Income Tax and Luxury Tax you pay a toll (= Pajak jalan) and Special Tax (= Pajak istimewa).
All accessoiries are stored inside the game board box.

The price of this set amounted to Rp 33.900 (= € 6,40) in August 1999.

Old Santa's version of Monopoli, 1998.Edition: Monopoli "Internasional", Hak Cipta No. 007160
Publisher: "Old Santa's" (Reg.No. 291125) - ± 1998
Dimensions of the small box: 15 x 18 cm
of the game board: 35.5 x 35.5 cm
The game:
Another "International" version consisting of a small box for the accessories and a separate game board. And again the properties are grouped in 8 Komplekses.

For 3 reasons I've situated this issue later than the others although there is no year to find in this edition:

If the Reg.No. are distributed in sequence Old Santa's was registered
later than both DM Sports (Reg.no.257340) and Laga (Reg.No. 009734).

All prices are 10 times higher than before and consequently the
banknotes are in higher values.

The value of the Rupiahs for which this game was bought was less than
before.

From Start (Receive $. 20000.-) onwards the properties of this International edition, illustrated with pictures of landmarks are:
Komplek A: Indonesia - Malaysia
Komplek B: Singapore - HongKong - Taiwan
Komplek C: Philipina - Thailand - Vietnam
Komplek D: Jepang (= Japan) - Korea - India
Komplek E: RRC (CINA) - Uni Soviet - Italia
Komplek F: Inggris (= UK) - Perancis (= F) - Belanda (= NL)
Komplek G: Kanada - Amerika Serikat (= USA) - Brazilia
Komplek H: Australia - Afrika

The midfields of the sides are resp.: Changi Airport - Terminal Bis Tokyo (= Tokyo Bus Terminal) - Stasiun London and Pelabuhan Sydney (= Sydney Harbour). Instead of paying Income Tax and Luxury Tax you pay a toll (= Pajak jalan) and Special Tax (= Pajak istimewa).
The dimensions of the good printed property deeds (with unprinted backs) are 60 x 90 mm. The illustrated pink Kesempatan (Opportunity = Chance) and green Dana Umum (= Community Chest) cards are also 60 x 90 mm.
It is amazing to see so often resemblances in so many ways between almost all Indonesian monopoly issues. This makes believe there less manufacturers than publishers. For example:

The illustrations of the cards are almost the same as those on the cards the Laga edition Hak Cipta No.  012631. They obviously has been drawn by the same person.

The property deeds have exactly the same sizes and almost the same appearance in this edition compared to those of the Laga edition Hak Cipta No. 012631 as well as of the DM Sports edition of 1996.

The green  houses and red hotels with tiles and chimney must undoubtedly come from the same manufacturer as those of the DM Sports edition and of all 3 Monopoli Indonesia versions of an unknown publisher.

The large banknotes (60 x 105 mm) of this edition are interesting. Although the design of each note is different they all show the name "Bank Monopoli Internasional" as well as a man's portrait and a year (that however, has no relation to the year of issue), 2 long numbers and 2 signatures. The 8 denominations are: $ 100 - $ 200 - $ 500 - $ 1000 - $ 2000 - $ 5000 - $ 10000 - $ 20.000 and $ 100,000.  Typical for this issue are the 7 plastic tokens being warriors and heralds.
The little dice are white with red pips and can be thrown with the help of a small brown plastic dice cup.

The price of this set amounted to Rp 11.110 (= € 1,35) in February 2001.

Monopoli Up-to-Date HOTEL.Edition: Monopoli Up to Date - Hotel
Publisher: Inland manufacturer - ± 1998
Dimensions of the small box: 12 x 16 cm
of the game board: 36.4 x 38.4 cm
The game:
This is probably the poorest edition of all Indonesian Monopoli versions I've seen so far. Not only is the game board very badly printed on a thin cardboard, but it is not pre-folded, which causes a very bad crack over the board and besides many spaces only have a name and no illustration.
This issue has a new design: all properties are hotels and related objects. However, there is little method in the color groups. The first property (Hotel Dibya Puri) belongs to the last 2 properties of the board, according to it's color. And so the 2nd property (Hotel Jakarta Hilton) is red but most probably is not the 4th property of the red spaces on the 3rd side. There is a white space (Pertamina Cottage) next to the "Go to Jail" space that may belong to the green group, but if so it will be the only group with 4 properties. The Money Changer in the mid of the first side can be built on so it does not belong to the group of properties that need not to be built on.
It  therefore maybe possible that the colors does not necessarily make groups of properties and that each individual property can be built on, since the cards does not say anything in this direction.

The tanah  (= Ground, 21 black hollow plastic caps) of the properties must be prepared. Next it can be provided with a gedung (= Building, 21 yellow caps), follwed by perlengkapan (= Equipment, 21 blue green caps). The mortgage value of the properties depends on the site and varies between 46 and 64%. All property deeds are brown yellow and have no color bar. The back side of these cards has the grey color of untreated cardboard and is unprinted.
The dimensions of the cards are of:

the property deeds 56 x 91 mm

the not illustrated blue green Kesempatan (= Opportunity = Chance) and pink Dana Umum (= Community Chest) cards 50 x 76 mm.

The 40 spaces are from Berangkat onwards:
Hotel Dibya Puri - Dana Umum - Hotel Jakarta H. - Pajak Bumi & Bangunan (= Community Tax) - Money Changer - Hotel Kartika Plaza - Kesempatan - Hotel Grand Preanger - Hotel Arjuna Plaza - Penjara/Harus Tinggal (= Jail/Must stay) - Hotel Gombel International - Hotel Patra Yasa - Hotel Mangkunegara Palace - Hotel Bumi Hyatt - Perusahaan Catering - Hotel Garden - Dana Umum - Ruma Makan - Hotel Elmi - FasilitasHotel Mirama - Kesempatan - Hotel Sahid Jaya - Hotel Grand Park - Swimming Pool - Hotel Bali Beach - Daerah Wisata Bayarlah  Karcis - Barber Shop -Hotel Majapahit - Masuk Penjara - Pertamina Cottage - Discotheque - Hotel Sari Pasifik - Dana Umum - Perusahaan Taxi - Kesempatan - Hotel Merlin - Pertamina (= a gas station) and Hotel Ramayana.

Of these properties those which need no building are: Perusahaan Catering (= Catering Service) - Ruma Makan (= Restaurant) - Swimming Pool - Barber Shop - Discot(h)eque and Perusahaan Taxi(= Taxi Enterprise). On the fields  "Daerah Wisata Bayarlah  Karcis" (=  Buy a ticket for this picnic area)  and the "Pertamina" gas station one has only to pay.
It is amazing that one has to stay in Jail instead of "Just passing".

The design of the banknotes is an exact copy of the Parker Brothers notes, including the word Monopoly and the almost same dimensions. The only 5 denominations without currency are: 25 - 50 - 100 - 500 and 1000
The only 4 tokens are of the same shape as the caps for the properties only slightly bigger.
Both poorly made dice (12x12x12 mm) are black with white pips.

The price of this set amounted to Rp 7940 (= € 0,90) in February 2001.

Laga International, magnetic, ref.AL-053.Edition: Monopoly Laga International Magnetic, ref. AL- 053
Publisher: Laga International (Reg.No. 009734) - H.Martin - ± 1998
Dimensions of the box: 29.3 x 37.3 cm
of the game board: 36.0 x 38.8 cm
The game:
The rim of the lid of this edition that is made in China says "Product by: H.Martin Foundation fareast Humantarian service INDONESIA". The poor notation is also shown by the mention "design and colours of contents are subject to ammandements".

It is obvious to compare the design of this edition with the earlier issued magnet one under ref. AL-008 (= Nasional version) as wel as the non-magnetic Internasional version Hak Cipta No. 012631.

Comparison with the regular Internasional version brings in:

All texts on the game board, cards and property deeds are in English, including the word Monopoly.

The man in green trousers on the Start space looks away from the motorcyclist.

The centre field is turned 180° with regard to the sides.

The underground color of the board is blue green instead of white.

The colors of the Complexes deviate as well as some of the illustrations and colors on the properties.

The design and colors of the banknotes is the same, including the misprint (?) of DOLAR, however they are much smaller (36 x 70 mm). The caption reads: Bank International.

The dimensions of the all English property cards are also 36 x 70 mm.

The 4 different colored hollow plastic tokens of  the same model are provided with a magnet to stick on the game board.

The white dice with red pips are very small (10x10x10 mm).

The presentation of the Rules is the same.

Comparison with the magnetic Nasional version (AL-008) brings in:

The underground color of this game board is light blue.

The dimensions of the cards and property deeds are equal, but the language used is Indonesian.

The currency of the banknotes is Rupiah.

The light green houses and red hotels are the same plastic cylinders.

The 4 plastic tokens are the same.

The white dice with red pips are a little bit larger (12x12x12 mm).

From Start (Receive $ 2.000) onwards, but anticlockwise, the properties, illustrated with drawings of landmarks are:
Complex A: Indonesia - Malaysia
Road Duties: Italy         < why?
Complex B: Singapore - HongKong - Taiwan
Complex C: Philippines - Thailand - Vietnam
Complex D: Japan - Korea - India
Complex E: China - Uni Soviet - Italy
Complex F: United of Kindom - France - Netherlands
Complex G: Canada - United State - Brazil
Complex H: Australia - Africa

As the enumeration above shows the names of some countries are poorly translated, like: Uni Soviet - United of Kingdom and United State. Another sloppiness is the fact that the 3rd F-complex became a "Complex E".

The midfields of the sides are as in the other versions: Changi Airport - Bus Station of Tokyo - London Station and Harbour of Sydney. Because everything is in English in this edition now Pajak jalan became Road Duties and Pajak istimewa are Special Duties.

The price of this set amounted to Rp 40.000 (= € 4,55) in February 2001.

Baliopoly First Edition, made by Balinese, on the Bali beach.Edition: Baliopoly - First edition
Publisher: Nigel Salinger Holiday Trading Game - ±1999
Dimensions of the box: 27.5 x 27.5 cm
The game:
This is doubtless by far the nicest edition issued in Indonesia.
Till early 2001 there was a website telling about this game: "Baliopoly is a handcrafted board game, made in Bali by the combined efforts of over one hundred Balinese. Baliopoly is designed to take the players through the most popular tourist destinations and local customs found on Bali, by landing on a game square of well known locations  such as Kuta Beach, Nusa Dua Beach Hotel, Made's Warung and Waterbom Park & Spa."The Indonesian Mr.Monopoly?

However, in a serious attempt in Februari 2001 to locally  buy this beautiful game it turned out that it was no longer available. I'm therefore afraid the "second edition" will never be issued because of "differences of opinion" between the publisher and Parker Brothers/Hasbro, at least not with the Indonesian Mr.Monopoly in the red bar.

The spaces are from Go onwards:
Jimbaran Beachfront Seafood - Village Banjar instruction - Made s Warung - Money changer/Pay 10% or 600.000 Rp - Tanah Lot TempleBali Museum - Tour voir instruction - Neka Museum - Puri Lukisan Museum - Just visiting/Immigration - Silver Factory - Wartel Telecomunication - Batik Textile Factory - Teak Furnitures Factory - Goa Lawah Temple - Goa Gajah  Elephant Cave - Village Banjar - Monkey Forest - Bali Bird Park - Free shopping BFS - Bali Hai Cruises - Tour - Waterbom Park and Spa - Bali golf and Country ClubSanghe Monkey Temple - Kintamani - Nusa Dua - Ngurah Rai Int. Airport - Ubud - Go to Immigration - Nusa Dua Beach hotelBali Hyatt Resort - Village Banjar - Grand Bali Beach Hotel - Besakih Temple - Tour - Sanu Beach - Hotel Tax - Kuta Beach.

The simple white plastified Village Banjar (with a green colored sketch representing a house) and Tour (the red colored sketch representing the beach with the sun) cards have about the same meaning as Chance and Community Chest cards. Their back side has a batik design.  Some samples of what these cards say are:

Sell water color painting. Collect Rp 300.000

Wedding celebration. Pay Rp 300.000

Surf board rental. Pay Rp 50.000

Hotel overbooked. Collect Rp 150.000

The 6 silver coated tokens are in the designs of a gecko, surf board, coconut tree, golf shoe, airplane and carved statue.
The neutral banknotes without any text are in 6 denominations, viz.: Rp 5,000 (white) - Rp 10,000 - Rp 20,000 - Rp 50,000 - Rp 100,000 and Rp 500,000. They are in a kind of Banker's Tray. The 32 bungalows and 12 hotels are made of light and dark teak and are temple shaped
The dice are also of light teak with white pips.

The rules are in English, which indicates this game is especially made for the great number of tourists coming to this beautifull isle of Bali.

The first Hasbro edition: 2008, ref. 00009.Edition: Monopoly - Edisi Indonesia, rectangular box, ref.0708000097611/12

     Permainan perdagangan properti yang tercepat
                 The fast-Dealing Property Trading Game

Publisher: PT NewBoy Toy Comp. - Parker Brothers/Hasbro - 2009
Dimensions of the box: 27.0 x 40.0 x 5.5 cm
The game:
This is the first official Parker/Hasbro edition of Indonesia. From the first part of the reference number it appears the game was designed July 2008, but it only appeared on the market on April 1, 2009. (Because it is shown that many European editions of this version of the standard game, ref.00009, also have been designed in 2008, the conclusion can be made this first Indonesia publication was well involved in the development of this new edition.)
Normally, the 3-digit number after the ref.number is Hasbro's country code. But here is a dual 4-digit number, which should stand for Indonesia. I'm afraid such a conclusion will not be correct.
Of course this issue is in many ways similar to that of the publications of the other countries, but there are some exceptions.

Hasbro has not opted for "the streets of the country's capital" but for 8 cities of the country. This is rather exceptional, like in

Switzerland (18 cities) - The Netherlands (8 cities) - Australia (8 states) and New Zealand (22 cities).

The 8 cities on this first, bilingual, Indonesian issue from Hasbro are from Go/Maju onwards:

Toko Oen in Semarang, long ago.Semarang (Java) - Medan (Sumatra) - Makassar (Sulawesi) - Yokyakarta (Java) - Bandung (Java) - Denpasar (Bali) - Surabaya (Java)  and Jakarta (Java).

And the streets from these cities are respectivily:

Jalan dr. Cipto - Dana Umum/Community Chest - Jalan Pandanaran - Pajak Penghasilan/Income tax  - Bandara Medan - Jalan Jenderal Sudirman - Kesempatan/Chance - Jalan Iskandar Muda - Jalan Mongonsidi - Dipenjara/In Jail - Jalan dr.Sam  Ratulangi - Perusahaan Listrik/Electric Company - Jalan Pasar Ikan - Jalan Sultan Hasanuddin - Bandara DenpasarJalan Magelang - Dana Umum/Community Chest - Jalan Pangeran Mangkubumi - Jalan MalioboroParkir Bebas/Free Parking - Jalan Cihampelas - Kesempatan/Chance - Jalan Merdeka - Jalan BragaBandara Surabaya - Jalan Teuku Umar - Jalan Diponegoro - Instalasi Air/ Water Works - Jalan Gajah Mada - Masuk Penjara/Go to Jail - Jalan Pemuda- Jalan Basuki Rachmat - Dana Umum/Community Chest - Jalan Mayen Sungkono - Bandara Jakarta - Kesempatan/Chance - Jalan Thamrin - Pajak Super/Super Tax and Jalan Gatot Subroto.

The 4 spaces in the mid of each side, mostly used for train stations, are here assigned to the airports of Medan - Denpasar - Surabaya and Jakarta.

This version of Hasbro's standard edition has been extended by a 3rd die, the red Speed Die, to speed up your game. However, the game can still played the "old fashioned" way, without this additional die.
This die shows the figures 1 - 2 and 3, a bus and Mr.Monopoly (2x). The influence of this Lucky Die is, in conjunction with the white dice:

1, 2 of 3: Add this to the roll of the two white dice.

Bus:You can choose to move the value of one or both of the white dice. So if you rolled a 1 and a 5, you could move 1 space, 5 spaces or 6 spaces.

Mr.Monopoly: Move the sum of the white dice as normal and take the action for the space you land on. Then advance to the next unowned property and either buy it or put it up for auction. If there are no unowned properties left, advance to the next property owned by another player and pay rent.

Only the white dice are counted when rolling doubles.

If you roll three-of-a-kind (each die shows the same number), you can move your token to any space on the board.

If you are sent to Jail during your move, your turn ends and you do not use the result of the  Lucky Die .

Other differences of this version compared to the "old standard" are:

Outside the red bar is not only only the word BRAND on the right side, but on top of this Indonesian version is also TM to be seen.

The insert in the innerbox consists for half of it of a red plastic insert with only 5 holes (so not meant to be a "Bankers' tray) and for the other half of an (old fashioned) cardboard filling piece showing the answers to the "13 most frequently posed questions".

The 2x folded game board lies on top this insert and can move there back and forth over 14 cm .

The subtitel of the game has been changed. This was more than 70 years "Property Trading Game from Parker Brothers", now that is "The Fast-Dealing Property Trading Game".

The lid has been totally redesigned, in such a way that a central rectangular Monopoly bar is shown, on top of which is Mr. Monopoly reaching out his hand. (so he is no longer coming out the middle O of Monopoly).

The decorative rim of his hat is not white but green and in his left hand he now has a staff with M emblem.

Underneath the Monopoly bar the Start corner of the board is shown, with on top Go .... indeed, both white dice again, now showing 6 and 3.

The lower part of the lid is a white border indicating this Family Game is a Hasbro invention for players aged from 8 years and for a number of players from 2 to. (This probably will become a standard presentation for alle Hasbro's games.)

The rims of the lid show the Monopoly bar, the Hasbro logo as well as the aforementioned game features, while one edge also shows the article number on top the barcode together with the Hasbro- and Parker Brothers logo.

The bilingual title deeds (56x88 mm) are white wih a red mortgage back side.

The text side of the Kesempatan/Chance and Dana Umum /Community Chest cards (56x88 mm) is white, giving the cards a cool impression. However, each text is illustrated with a funny expression of Mr. Monopoly.

The bundle of banknotes of this edition has ref.nr.100000090000-Rebrand. The notes are printed in black on colored paper in the denominations: 1 (white) - 5 - 10 - 20 - 50 - 100 and 500 Monopoly dollars (symbol: M with 2 small, horizontal bars.).

The usual 8, metal tokens zijn: iron - hihg hat - dog - thimble - shoe - boat - car and wheelbarrow.

The hollow, plastic houses and hotels have both a chimney as well as tiles.

Both dice are white with black pips.

The Indonesian and English Rules are in a playful manner divided into sections and nicely illustrated over an elongated and folded sheet.

The bottom of the box shows a color picture of the game board with some attributes, an encouragement to fast go and play as well as a few absolutely nothing saying pictures under the heading "Cara bermain Monopoly ... / How to make it in Monopoly ...

It is striking that at the very lower end of the bottom side of the box it says:
