A year after the World edition, this new version was published by Hasbro which came with another novelty surprising the whole world with a complete new design of the original game of constructing houses and hotels on streets. I would not be surprised inspiration came from the three-dimensional game Hotel from 1996 by MB Games (from Hasbro as well).

TAKE your play to the next level and start scheming with brand new game board, MONOPOLY CITY. With the new aspects of this exciting 3D game, players can devalue each other’s properties by building sewers and prisons on their opponents’ land.

This extra dimension adds a thrill to the game, which is already incredibly fast-moving as players can build as soon as they buy. Start building your very own property portfolio from the first roll of the dice and start destroying your opponents’ with unrivalled ruthlessness.

Players will still have to hone their dealing and negotiating skills but toy manufacturer Hasbro has also added a whole new dimension to the play of the game: MONOPOLY CITY also allows players to build their own empire in the centre of the board using brand new 3D buildings.

Note: It is remarkable to see that in passing, Parker's logo has totally disappeared from the box with this version with only the Hasbro logo left.
