1976-1984
1976 saw a facelift on the #9. A picture of the 4th side of the board from "GO" to "Chance" graces the cover above "MONOPOLY" in white inside a red stripe. "Parker Brothers Real Estate Trading Game" is written in black under the stripe. The game came with 8 tokens including the thimble, race car, top hat, wheelbarrow, iron, Scottie dog, shoe, and horse and rider. It has the same blue bound board as it’s predecessor and it has a blue cardboard insert inside with Monopoly facts and FAQs on it.
My contact with this version is limited as I only own 2 sets, one of which is sealed. I know of 2 variations; one with a blank box bottom and one with a picture of the game on the bottom. I saw the latter on ebay, lost the auction, and forgot to save pictures of it.
