Thomas Cook (United Kingdom)

Logo

2005 sees the 150th anniversary of Thomas Cook's first overseas holiday - a tour of Belgium, Germany and France which took place in July 1855. This special edition of Monopoly celebrates the growth of travel in the UK through the years - from Thomas Cook's first organised trip to London in 1841 through to holidays as we know the to Spain, Greece, Cuba and the Maldives.

Thomas Cook is the best-known name in travel, responsible for millions of Briton's holidays abroad over a century and a half. See how Thomas Cook's brochure covers and posters have changed through the years as the company introduced new destinations.

In addition to the holiday destinations to buy and sell, there are UK airports up for grabs, as well as Thomas Cook stores and Thomas Cook Airlines, and with holiday-themed luck squares like Outward Journey and Return Journey, not to mention Thomas Cook Travellers Cheques as your currency, this version of Monopoly will really bring back that holiday feeling!

The game also came with a letter to authenticate the item as such.
