SPECIALTY EDITIONS
|

Since 1993 USAOPOLY
create and manufacture specialty editions of the Monopoly game and since
1994 these are made under licence for Hasbro, Inc.

ENCINITAS, CA 92024 USA

The presentation of these specialty editions are much nicer today than it was
in the past! Those earlier sets where hard to distinguish from the City Editions
of the same manufacturer, viz. always a part of the fourth side of the board on
the cover with a black bar above it. Since the issue of the NASCAR game however,
all boxes have a very distinguished appearance! See the pictures!

Olympic Games
Publisher: USAOPOLY,
Inc. - 1996
Dimensions of the box: 25.2 x 51 cm
The game:
The yellow stamp of autorization says "Commemorative Collector's Edition"
and it is a very special game indeed for collectors to have! For one hundred
years since the Olympic Games began in Athens, Greece in 1896, the Olympic Games
spirit has stood for the triumph of the human spirit. At the same time, the
Games represent the world's most impressive demonstration of brotherhood,
cameraderie and goodwill. With the 1996 Summer Games in Atlanta (USA) the
world will celebrate the Centennial anniversary of the Olympic Games.
And now, long after the last runner finishes the marathon and the Olympic
Games Flame is extinguished in the triumphant closing ceremonies, this very
special Limited Centennial Olympic Games Edition of MONOPOLY will stir fond
memories during those MONOPOLY games for years and years to come.
The properties are from GO on, the cities where the games took place: St.LOUIS
(1904) - LONDON (1908) - STOCKHOLM (1912) - BELGIUM (1920) - PARIS (1924) -
AMSTERDAM (1928) - LOS ANGELES (1932) - BERLIN (1936) - LONDON
(1948) - HELSINKI (1952) - MELBOURNE (1956) - ROME (1960) - TOKYO (1964) -
MEXICO (1968) - MUNICH (1972) - MONTREAL (1976) - MOSCOW (1980) - LOS
ANGELES (1984) - SEOUL (1988) - BARCELONA (1992) - ATHENS (1896) and ATLANTA
(1996).
Besides the numbered Olympics hologram pictograms of 31 attending
sports are shown on the bottom side of the box.
Edition: Golf Edition
Publisher: USAOPOLY,
Inc. - 1996
Dimensions of the box: 25.2 x 51 cm
The game:
In MONOPOLY GOLF EDITION players buy famous golf courses resorts, golf tours,
tournaments and companies from all over the USA. A part of the story at the
bottom side of the box read as follows:
With a roll of the dice or the luck of a Chance card, you can "play" Pebble
Beach Golf Links®, test your skills on Pinehurst, buy the Tournament
Players Club at Sawgrass (island green and all), and
challenge Doral's Blue Monster.
You might not be able to "drive for show" or "putt for dough"
when you play this game, or have the satisfaction of knocking in your Top-Flite®
for a birdie, or feel the rush of drilling your tee-shot long and straight with
a Big Bertha. But, you can dominate the major American golf Tours, be "Tournament
Director" of some of the most prestigious events in the world, own leading
golf equipment companies (like Ashworth Golf Company), and even charge
your opponents for the privilege of playing, or at least landing, on your course.
Unfortunately the tokens in this issue are the usual ones. It would
have been much nicer if golf attributes had been used!
Edition: Batman & Robin, Collector's Edition
Publisher: USAOPOLY/Hasbro,
Inc. - 1997
Dimensions of the box: 25.4 x 50.8 cm
The game:
This game is made after the film of Batman and Robin intervening in the battle
for supremacy in Gotham City.
The predominant colors of the box as well as of the game board
are black and red. Besides the
symbols of Batman and Robin, the cover also shows pictures of the leading
persons. At the bottom of the box is a nice picture of the game board with the
attributes. The back side of the board is black.
The inside of the box contains again a carton insert, but instead of "the
FAQ's" it shows once more the pictures of the leading persons. The
remaining space is filled by a tray of soft, white plastic.
The 8 tokens are very special and bear a stamp of DC Comics in their feet.
Besides the symbols of Batman and Robin, a leaf and a big diamond there are 4
vehicles among which Batmobile and Freezemobile. The "streets"are
of course locales from the spectacular feature film, like: Biker
ALLEY, Pamela Isley's Lab, Holographic
Gym, Mr.Freeze's Cell, Wayne
Manor Garage, Blossom St. Station en
Batcave.
The Chance and Community Chest cards are mentioned as such in the
instructions, but in the game they are marked by the symbols of Batman and Robin.
Their texts and illustrations relate of course to the story, such as: "Batskiff
slips on ice. Go back 3 spaces" and "From sale of surplus crime
fighting equipment You Get $ 45".
The 32 houses are grey whereas the 12 red
hotels are mansions here!
This game is imported into the E.U. by:
Warner Bros.Studio Store Ltd.
c/o 135 Wardour Street
LONDON W1V 4AP - ENGLAND
The price amounted to US$ 30.- in March 1998.
Edition: Wizard of
OZ, Collector's Edition
Publisher: USAOPOLY/Hasbro,
Inc. - 1997
Dimensions of the box: 25,4 x 50,8 cm
The game:
This is again one of these very special games based on a particular subject.
That is in this case Judy Garland's musical.
All of the favorite characters in the original Judy Garland version of OZ are
pictured on the board as well as on the banknotes.
The 8 tokens are resp. Dorothy, The Lion, The Scarecrow, The Tinman,
Dorothy's ruby slippers, Glinda's crown, The Wicked Witch's Hat and a
Whirling Tornado with Dorothy's house carried away on the very top.
Instead of Chance and Community Chest cards there are now Good Witch and Bad
Witch cards.
The properties are build on with pink farmhouses and green
Emerald City Palaces.
Edition: Harley-Davidson
Edition
Publisher: USAOPOLY/Hasbro,
Inc. - 1997
Dimensions of the box: 25.4 x 50.8 cm
The game:
The bottom of the box says about this game:
"There is a new major rally … and you've hit the highway. Buy, sell
and trade the great motorcycles, engines, rallies and all that makes the
Harley-Davidson lifestyle what it is! Hop on your Electra Glide, Standard or
Heritage Springer, but be sure to ride clear of your opponent's properties -
landing on the wrong space could cost you big!"
The nicest of this issue are the 8 tokens: the Evolution Engine - "Eagle
with Bar & Shield" logo - Road King Sportster Motorcycle - Helmet -
Boot - Electra Glide Classic Motorcycle - Road King Sportster Motorcycle with Sidecar
and Gas Tank.
The properties mainly consist of the many Harley-Davidson models. The
spaces at the start however are meeting points of HD-enthusiasts: Daytona
Beach - Florida and Sturgis - South Dakota. The 3 yellow
spaces are resp. the Internet address www.harley-davidson.com
(!), the Harley Owners Group and the club magazine (?) Enthusiast. On the 4
station spaces are now typical engines, like Knucklehead, Panhead,
Shovelhead and the Evolution. Both utility spaces are now Spark
Plugs and Oil Works.
The red Chance and yellow
Community Chest cards are nicely illustrated and have typical texts like "Navigate
your way to the Harley-Davidson Website" and "Motorcycle needs
500 mile tune-up. Pay $ 100".
There are 32 black Garages and 12 orange
Dealerships. The currency of the banknotes is Harley-Davidson,
"Born to Ride".
This is a very nice set, the issue in honour of the 95th anniversary however
is still nicer!
The price of this set amounted to US$ 35.- in October 1998.
Edition: Harley-Davidson
95th Anniversary
Limited Collector's Edition
Publisher: USAOPOLY/Hasbro,
Inc. - 1998
Dimensions of the box: 26.9 x 26.0 x 9.5 cm
The game:
The bottom of the wrap around the black box says:
"Ninety-five years ago it began with a motorcycle. A 3hp engine
strapped to a bicycle frame, with a set of pedals to put the whole thing in
motion. The next year it became a "production run" of three. It would
ultimately evolve into Harley-Davidson motorcycles reaching every corner of the
globe."
It is a pitty that this very luxurious issue is so black! However,
because of that the pewter medallion
does show to full advantage. The circulation of this game is limited to 50,000
and the number of the concerning box is on a small "Certificate of
ownership".
The 2-parted structure of the box (flat box with banker's tray on top of a cards
tray) do remind of the gold box of the 60th anniversary of Monopoly. The
double-folded game board fits in the flat box. All properties do
not only have names of various models but also of important persons or events,
like Founding Fathers - World War I - Ascot Races and 1st Post AMF
Bike. Even the well-known ring on the "Luxury Tax"-field became a
HD-Anniversary-ring! The spaces on the game board are illustrated with mostly
ancient pictures. The spaces in the middle of each side are H.D.-facilities
in the cities CAPITOL DRIVE - YORK, PA - P.D.C. and KANSAS CITY.
The 8 very detailed tokens are resp. : the 95th Anniversary logo - Original 1903
Motorcycle - First Factory Shed - Land Speed Cruiser - HD Water Tower - Early Side Car with
Rider - Service Car with Delivery Cart and Biker Couple.
The red Chance and green
Community Chest cards are of course again nicely illustrated and have
typical texts like "Harley-Davidson builds first bike in 1903 - Advance
to GO" and "Get ready at ride route's Kick off City".
The Chance cards space is near the "Free Parking" field.
There are 32 black Garages and 12 silver
Dealerships. The banknotes show Uncle Pennybags in his motorsuit
with a HD-facility in the background.
The game rules are in a round booklet slightly larger than a CD disc and
put away in a hole most likely destined for a caroussel!
The price of this set amounted to US$ 79.95 in October 1998.
Edition: NASCAR
Official Collector's Edition
Publisher: USAOPOLY/Hasbro,
Inc. - 1997
Dimensions of the box: 25.5 x 51.0 x 5.3 cm
The game:
The bottom of the box says about this game:
"The ultimate battle for pole position in NASCAR racing ….and
you're in the driver's seat! Buy, sell and trade NASCAR racing's hottest teams
and speedways. Strategically maneuver your car around the Monopoly track as you
race to build your NASCAR empire. Be sure to steer clear of your opponent's
properties - any pit stops in opponent's garage or race shop can cost you big.
Remember, there are no yellow flags
waved and there's only one trophy."
The properties in this game are America's hottest teams and
speedways, like Cartoon Network Wacky Racing - Kodak Gold Film - Texaco
and McDonald's. The utility spaces are here The Phone Company BELLSOUTH
and The Gas Company 76. The fields in
the middle of each side are resp. CALIFORNIA
SPEEDWAY - TALLADEGA
SUPERSPEEDWAY - CHARLOTTE MOTORSPEEDWAY and DAYTONA
INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY.
The typical tokens are 2 checkered flags, pit row mecanic, race car,
trophy, slick racing tire, steering wheel, NASCAR's logo and a driver's
helmet.
Of course Uncle Pennybags adorns also in this game the red
Chance and yellow Community Chest
cards with related illustrations.
There are 32 black garages and 12 red
Race shops, who all have a chimney, like the houses and hotels! On the banknotes
Uncle Pennybags waves this time with both the checked flags instead of with his
cane!
The price of this set amounted to US$ 35.- in October 1998.
Edition: NASCAR
50th Anniversary
Limited Collector's Edition
Publisher: USAOPOLY/Hasbro,
Inc. - 1998
Dimensions of the box: 26.6 x 25.9 x 9.5 cm
The game:
In this GOLD EDITION a CD-shaped booklet tells "A brief of History NASCAR",
including a "Salute to NASCAR's Past Champions". From this we learn:
"The
birth of NASCAR can be traced to a meeting in Daytona Beach, FL, in December,
1947, when race driver and promotor Bill France Sr. called together a group of
his peers to bring organization, control and respect to the burgeon sport of
stock car racing. The group formed the National
Association for Stock
Car Auto
Racing and incorporated the
sanctioning body in Februari, 1948. NASCAR's first race was a Modified event on
the Daytona Beach course that was run on the beachfront and paved public highway.
The event that launched NASCAR as the major force in American automobile racing,
however, occurred the next year when, on June 19, 1949, NASCAR sanctioned a race
in Charlotte, NC, for "Stricktly Stock" automobiles that were modern
showroom sedans."
On the GOLD checkerboard pattern of the high lid of the box a GOLD
NASCAR-50 years medallion is fixed. On the black back of the double
folded game board is a GOLD print of the NASCAR-50 years logo. The properties
are now Past Champion drivers. So the spaces are provided with black and
white and color pictures. The utility spaces are now again the usual Electric
Company and Water Works. The fields in the middle of each side became flags.
The GOLD typical tokens are an Early Race Car, Mid-Year Race Car,
Modern Race Car, Transporter, Vintage Race Car Driver, Modern Race Car Driver,
Early Days Trophy and a NASCAR-50 years logo. They are in a dignified
black bag!
The Chance and Community Chest cards became GOLD cards, at which the green
car stands on the Modern cards and the classic purple
car on the Vintage cards!
There are 32 red Short Tracks and 12
GOLD Superspeedways instead of houses and hotels. Even the dice
are GOLDEN!
On the banknotes Uncle Pennybags shows his drivers helmet and his (?)
trophy!
Also this nice issue is limited to 50,000 sets and the nummer of the concerning
box is given again on a small "Certificate of Ownership". Finally a
keychain with GOLD NASCAR-50 years medallion is added to this set!
The price of this set amounted to US$ 79.95 in October 1998.
Edition: National
Parks Edition
Publisher: USAOPOLY/Hasbro,
Inc. - 1998
Dimensions of the box: 25.2 x 50.7 cm
The game:
The bottom of the box says about this game:
"National parks are America's special places - the soul of this
country. Since 1916, the National Park Service has been the steward of what now
number more than 375 special places set aside to protect the nation's most
precious natural and cultural resources. This rich national heritage offers
people from every nation incomparable opportunities for recreation, appreciation
of natural beauty, historical reflection, cultural enrichment and environmental
education.
Within parks, and working among communities on preservation and recreation
projects beyond park boundaries, the National Park Service brings together the
landscapes, places, people, and events that contribute to the shared national
heritage and values of a highly diverse people. Every year, more than 275
million national park visitors learn more about the American experience. In
addition to encountering the American experience, visitors also gain a deeper
understanding of the ecological, historical and cultural values which are part
of that experience.
This National Parks Edition of the Monopoly game was created in cooperation with
the National Park Service to share the beauty and grandeur of America's national
parks, and to provide a unique - and entertaining - way to learn more about a
system of national parks that has set the standard for the rest of the world.
A portion of the purchase price of this game will be used by the National
Park Foundation, the official national non-profit partner of the National Park
Service, to support priority national park projects."
In this beautiful blue box the carton
insert of the innerbox shows a map of North America stating all (?) national
parks. The properties show really beautiful color pictures of national
parks. You will undoubtedly recognize some of them, reason why we name them all
- from GO on they are: NATIONAL MALL - Mt. RUSHMORE - MESA VERDE - PETROGLYPH -
CANYON de CHELLY - GLACIER BAY - GRAND CANYON - HAWAII VOLCANOES - VALLEY FORGE
- GETTYSBURG - LITTLE BIGHORN - DINOSAUR - BADLANDS - AGATE FOSSIL BEDS - ISLE
ROYALE - ACADIA - PADRE ISLAND - EVERGLADES - GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS - OLYMPIC -
YOSEMITE and YELLOWSTONE. (It is a pity that there is no booklet added to this
set explaining more about the parks mentioned (see "Amerikca-In-A-Box")!
Speaking about learning … )
The utilitie facilities are here EDISON (dragged in by the head and shoulders?)
and HOT SPRINGS (well choosen!). The fields in the middle of each side became
TRIALS.
The typical tokens of this game are: the Hiker, Hiking Boot, Tent,
Canoe, Bear, Ranger Hat, Wagon and Cannon.
On the red Chance and yellow
Community Chest cards Uncle Pennybags wears his hikerdress.
There are 32 green, wooden (!) tents
and 12 white-wooden ranger stations ("made in China"). On the banknotes
Uncle Pennybags waves with his field glasses and fishing rod!
The price of this set amounted to US$ 35.- in October 1998.
Edition: Super
Bowl XXXII - Commemorative Super Bowl Edition
DENVER BRONCOS 31-24
Publisher: USAOPOLY/Hasbro,
Inc. - 1998
Dimensions of the box: 25,2 x 50,7 cm
The game:
The bottom of the box says about this game:
"In this first ever Super Bowl Edition of the Monopoly game, relive
the biggest day in American sports and what was arguably the greatest game in
Super Bowl history. Enjoy memorable moments from the Broncos momentous 31-24
victory over the defending champion Green Bay Packers - breaking the NFC string
of 13 straight victories.
With the Super Bowl XXXII Edition you pick the players, call the plays - an
audible if your opponent threatens a blitz - and decide when to go deep. Take
control of San Diego's Qualcomm Stadium, buy a block of tickets, win the coin
toss and get ready for the opening kickoff. The only thing missing are the
commercials!
Whether it is first and ten or fourth and goal, with this game the Goal
line is never farther than a roll of the dice. And with the Monopoly game, just
as in football, never count the underdog out. So lace up your cleats, grab your
helmet and reminisce the Broncos epic winning of the Super Bowl Trophy -
Monopoly style!"
As the "Rest of the World" get excited of soccer so the
Americans get absorbed in their football. This also appears clearly from
the difference in presentation of WC France 98
(see further on) and this game!
The differences with the standard game are:
 | The nice typical tokens (with USAOPOLY mark in the base) are: Quarterback,
Defensive Player, Scheidsrechter, Cheerleader, Lombardi Trophy, cleat,
whistle and helmet. |
 | All spaces on the bord are related to something the Denver Broncos have to
do with, like: Broncos Fans - Broncos Mascot - Super Bowl Ticket - Super
Bowl Football and, the last space, Super Bowl Champs. |
 | Instead of houses and hotels there are now transparant blue
locker rooms (with chimney!) and orange stadiums (in the shape
of a hotel with chimney!). |
 | The Chance and Community Chest cards are here red
Offense and dark blue Defense
cards. Alround Uncle Pennybags is now a football player and the texts on
the cards are of course related to this game, like: Advance to Super Bowl
Football - Great job protecting quarterback, Collect $150 and Buy
Broncos Super Bowl souvenirs, Pay $ 50". |
 | The banknotes show Uncle Pennybags in an appropriate dress! |
The price of this set amounted to US$ 35.- in October 1998.
Edition: Napa
Valley Edition
Publisher: USAOPOLY/Hasbro,
Inc. - 1998
Dimensions of the box: 25.2 x 50.7 cm
The game:
The bottom of the box says about this game:
"The Monopoly Brand proudly introduces a game designed exclusively
for wine connoisseurs and enthusiasts. Imagine luxuriating in one of the most
sought after destinations in America; the lush and intoxicatingly beautiful Napa
Valley. Home to some of the most highly regarded and sought after wines, this
fabulous spot is nature's paradise and a playland for its lucky landowners and
visitors.
The hot California sun drenches and the cool evening fog envelops the wineyards
producing ideal winemaking conditions and award winning wines. Some of the most
valuable Napa Valley real estate is up for sale including the prized Robert
Mondavi Winery.
Napa Valley's timeless beauty, fertile gardens, fine wines, top-rated
restaurants and infamous hot springs beckon. As you advance through its quaint,
turn of the century towns, and through the lustrous, rolling valley itself,
carpeted with vines and golden mustard fields, consider taking it all - lock,
stock and barrel."
This "theme-game" is again carefully composed and the "wine
enthusiast/monopolist" will play with it with pleasure or like to have it
in his collection! (For those readers who do not live in the USA: Napa Valley is
an area just north from San Francisco.)
It is remarkable that the Chance and Commommunity Chest cards are provided with
a sub-title in this game: Wine Spectator on Chance and Napa Valley Mustard
Festival on Community Chest. It will be obvious that the properties
bear the names of the hottest wineries like DUNN VINEYARDS, ST.CLEMENT,
SWANSON VINEYARDS, GRACE FAMILY VINEYARDS and BERINGER VINEYARDS, but also a few
towns of the territory (NAPA, CALISTOGA and ST.HELENA) and restaurants
(MUSTARDS GRILL, TRA VIGNE and THE CULINARY INSTITUTE OF AMERICA GREYSTONE) have
been inserted in this game.
At the station spaces are now well-established grape brands viz. MERLOT,
SAUVIGNON BLANC, CABERNET SAUVIGNON and CHARDONNAY. The Chance cards are purple
and the Community Chest cards green.
Of course the texts now feature Napa Valley related messages like: "You
have been elected President of Napa Valley Wine Association - Pay each player $
50" and "Take a drive up HWY 29 (= the motorway between
Calistoga and Napa) - Advance token to Beaulieu Vineyard".
The very nice pewter tokens are resp. a Wine Barrel, Wine Bottle, Hot
Air Balloon, Corkscrew, Wine Glass, Ice Bucket, Picnic Basket and a Grape
Bunch. The banknotes shoe Uncle Pennybags with a grape bunch in one
hand and a wine bottle in the other.
The usual green houses and red
hotels represent in this game vineyards and larger wine estates.
The price of this set amounted to US$ 35.- in October 1998.
Edition: World Cup France
98 Edition
Publisher: USAOPOLY/Hasbro,
Inc. - 1998
Dimensions of the box: 25.3 x 50.7 cm
The game:
Whereas the EUROPEAN EDITIONS of this game are very luxury issues that cannot be
said of this AMERICAN issue! BESIDES IT CONTAINS A CLEAR INCORRECTNESS!!
The game board spaces can hardly be found on the cover of this long box, but
so a couple of soccer players, eachone in an energic posture but not in a match
position! On the bottom of the box is again a clear picture of the game board
and its attributes. The Chance and Community Chest cards are of course replaced
by (blue) AWAY and (pink)
HOME cards, again with nice illustrations with Uncle Pennybags. Of course
the texts relate to the soccer game, like "Opening kickoff - Advance to
Go".
In this game the properties are of course national soccer teams. BUT
THE RULES OF THIS AMERICAN SET DO EXPLICITELY NOT REVER TO THOSE
OF THE 22 best clubs of the official worldlist as it is composed by the FIFA
on the basis of the results of the countries in all worldcup finals since 1930!
That are on the EUROPEAN GAME BOARDS respectively: SCOTLAND - SWITSERLAND -
ROMANIA - CHILE - MEXICO - BELGIUM - AUSTRIA - CZECHOSLOVAKIA - THE NETHERLANDS
- POLAND - HUNGARY - YUGOSLAVIA - FRANCE - SWEDEN - URUGUAY - RUSSIA - SPAIN -
ENGLAND - ARGENTINE - ITALY - GERMANY and BRASIL. In this version namely Germany
is omitted and America is put on the space of Brazil in the expensive blue
streets!!
The spaces have the well-known colored bars and are furthermore characterized by
a T-shirt of the concerning country!
The stations are replaced by the 4 most important stadiums of France, viz.
STADE VELODROME of Marseille, STADE DU PARC DE PRINCES in Paris, LE STADE DE
FRANCE in Saint-Denis and STADE DE GERLAND of Lyon.
The 2 public utilities remained the usual Electric Company and Water Works. It
is remarkable that one can be sent to JAIL in this game as well!
The 8 tokens are resp. a boot, cap, drinks cup, hamburger (?), goal,
whistle, bal and the (gold colored) FIFA Worldcup Trophy (with the
mark "1974 FIFA TM© in the base).
Instead of houses and hotels this game of course uses (red)
bleachers and (blue) stadiums!
And the dice are also something special: they are soccer-shaped, so 12-sided!
Other differences compared to the European Edition are:
|

Edition:
Texas - edition in state shaped box, barcode ref. 7-00304-00086-6
Publisher: USAOPOLY/Hasbro,
Inc. - 1999
Dimensions of the box: 62.0 cm x 56.0 cm x 5.0 cm
The game:
This edition is from the collection of Roland
Klose - D. (Diese Version auf deutsch: www.monopoly-wiki.de)
In this period of time it was the USAopoly's intention to make state
editions in a state shaped box and they started with Texas for some
reason. That was a nice idea and I guess all collectors wellcomed it, however
the unpractical shape of the boxes caused problems with shipment, reason why
this was the only edition made in a state shaped box.
In the innerbox of soft black plastic, also called the Banker's tray, a large space had to be given to
the double folded game board. Furthermore there are 6 holes to store the
banknotes, property deeds, stars-
and spurs cards, tokens and barns
and ranches.
All properties are from Go onwards:
Astrodome - Spurs - Ballpark
at Arlington - Property Tax - Wood's Boots - Galvestone
Island - Stars - Big Band National
Park - South Padre Island - In
Jail/Just Visiting - Texas Tech Red Raiders
- Electric Company - Baylor Bears - Texas
Longhorns - Ebby Halliday - Cattle
Ranch - Spurs - Blue Bell Icecream
- Dr.Pepper/7Up Inc. - Free Parking - Corpus
Christi - Stars - Austin -
Ft. Worth/Arlington - Texas Monthly -
George Bush
Library - L.B.J.Library
- Spurs - Johnson
Space Center - Go to Jail - San
Antonio - Dallas - Water Works - Houston
- Southwest Airlines - Stars - The Alamo
- Branding Fee and State Capitol.
The 4 station properties are apparently payed for spaces.
The 8 bronze colored pewter tokens are of course typical for this state
edition: longhorn - cowboy hat -
oilrig - cowboy boot - horse - red pepper -
armadillo and pickup car.
There is one blue die with white pips and a red
one, the colors of the Texas flag.
Edition: Texas - long box
edition
Publisher: USAOPOLY/Hasbro,
Inc. - 1999
Dimensions of the box: 25.3 x 50.7 cm
The game:
Exactly the same game board, tokens, money, cards and dice as of the state

Inc. - 2007
Dimensions of the box: 25.5 x 51.0 x 3.4 cm
of the
over-box: 34.2 x 67.3 x 8.5 cm
The game:
The
game box is as flat as most of the USAopoly editions are but since it is
packed in a much larger over-box its presentation is a Legendary one indeed. On
one side this over-box shows the Heritage logo while the other side shows a
summing up of the Harley-Davidson® Motorcycles of the
1980's: 1980 FLT - 1986 FLST - 1981 FLH - 1983 XR 1000 - 1980 FXB.
The bottom of the box says:
"The world's most famous board game and Americ's most popular motorcycle
company rev up the engines to bring you the Monopoly®:
Harley-Davidson® Legendary Bikes Edition. Accelerate your way
around the game board and vie for control of the ultimate Harley-Davidson®
collection. Buy, sell, and trade legendary bikes, including the 1945 WLA Army

All spaces are from Go onwards:
